More Americans have diabetes than ever before, in fact 17 million adults and children are affected. Students will learn about the the different types of diabetes. An excellent discussion on signs and symptoms as well as causes, risk factors, and screening for the disease are covered. Complications from the disease and current treatments will be covered.
